In a forum of its Red Letter Dodge blog to confirm that its SRT operation is not getting the cut. Last month, General Motors said it was disbanding its High Performance Vehicle Operations as a cost-cutting move.
“SRT is sticking around and we have to make final calls on the lineup,” said Steve Bartoli, Chrysler’s vice president for global product planning. “We are big fans of SRT, what it does for us and our customers.”
He added: “Yes, [Chrysler parent] Ceberus [sic] is committed to this cause.”
Chrysler’s SRT operation is responsible for such products as the Dodge Challenger SRT8, the Dodge Charger SRT8 and the Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8.
